The Past

Chapter 1

John came to know Reed when his sister Sue brought her new boyfriend in sophomore.

At first sight, John thought he was a freak, because Reed always talked about his field related to physics and cosmic rays and seldom talked about his pretty sister. To John’s surprise, Reed is a traditional man who did not intend to stay night with Sue. Instead, Reed stuck that he should stay in the guest room and did not obey Sue’s suggestion. However Sue told him they have no guest room but failed to persuade Reed. Bewildered Sue felt disappointed with Reed.

“John!” Sue shouted.

“ Let Reed stay with you!”

“What? Why not the living room?” John protested.

“No way. Or you’ll tidy up our house for one week.”

“Shit!”

So John had to admit Reed stay one night with him.

“Hey, freak! What are you fucking doing in my room?” John saw Reed touching his device on the table after taking shower.

“I’m interested with it. Aren’t you an astronaut?” Reed asked.

“Maybe future.” John glanced at his shelf. It seemed that Reed possibly make a thorough look at all his diversified items.

When John stepped into his room, he only found his precious thing disappeared.

“Reed!” John shouted. The sound echoed in the corridor.

“Johnny!” Noise from the next room soon came. Sue was just got sleep.

A curious guy. John grumbled.

In fact, it was not Reed rather than Sue move away John’s precious thing. Sue thought it was a nice thing so she picked away, without giving John a word.

“You have no right to take my thing away!” John shouted at Reed as he finished his shower.

“What’s wrong?” Reed was confused by John’s word.

“Dam! What’s in your hand?” Glanced at what was in Reed’s hand, John jumped and pointed to Reed’s hand.

“Oh! It was from Sue.” Reed innocently replied.

“Sue? Oh no. Please don’t make joke with me. Sue never takes my thing away from my room. Be serious, Reed. Isn’t you?” John took a deep breathe.

In the next room, Sue did not notice that her deed caused a conflict between her dearly brother John and her beloved Reed. Nevertheless, it was the chance that John came to know more about Reed.

“Fuck! Don’t you know that everyone know that Reed Richard’s beloved is research rather than Sue Stone?” Staring at Reed, John left Reed no chance to explain.

“John! Don’t insult your sister. Of course I love your sister and…”

“Then why don’t you come back to Sue’s room and do that thing?” John interrupted.

“OK, I’m sorry. I won’t touch your thing in your room. But, please, forgive me, I can’t stay with Sue tonight.”

“What? Are you joking? Guy? Don’t you know what it means?”

“I know…”

“Take a sleep on the floor.” John threw a reply.

“OK…”


Hardly slept on the floor, Reed had his words that can’t tell Sue this time. He needed proper time that Sue will accept the truth. Reed did not know that his precious girlfriend was always generous and tolerant to Reed’s any deed. For Reed, Sue dropped some good opportunities which she shall get a stable life and a better husband. Even at that time, Reed told Sue that he could not be a good husband if he married with Sue, Sue insisted her choice.


“Hey, guy, aren’t you asleep?” The noise came from other side.

“No” Reed quietly replied.

“Tell me why you can’t stay with Sue? Have you got the problem on yours?”

“Hum, Sue didn’t know she may catch a terrible illness if she wants” Reed sighed.

“What illness? Are you HIV? Sounds crazy. Oh, I have to away from you.” John turned his head down to Reed and made a joke.

“Not this one. I don’t know the illness, but doctors said I’ve caught a latent disease after I was infected in my lab due to a research failure. And it may bring bad effect to other people through intimate contact.”

“Wow! Sounds like a sci-fiction. I think that there’s problem with your semen.” John laughed.

“That’s reasonable, maybe.” Reed gave John an exaggerated face.

“Haah! Well, brother, you need help at this very time, or Sue will doubt your ability. When will you get cured?”

“I’ve no idea. Probably in later few days.”

“Good! Take a sleep, guy.”

Reed came to know that Sue’s brother was a nice one, even he was naught and sensible and also like hunting for women. He fell asleep.



Chapter 2

Five years older than John, Reed did not show his maturity that a husband should bear. Reed was not good at doing housework. All dominated his mind was the research, and Sue was the second.

Now graduated from university and got a doctor’s degree, Reed worked as a researcher in NASA. John also worked there, instead his job was astronaut, which Reed did not know John’s job until they met in a crazy and hazardous plan held by Doctor Victor Doom.

“Hi, Johnny!” Sue gave her brother a big hug as he entered the room.

“John! Does he work here?” Reed was surprised to see John there.

“Of course yes. He is the best astronaut with double degrees, so please take care of him, Mr. Richard.” Sue gave Reed a medium word.

“Sue, I am not a child.”

“You are always my little young brother.” Sue gave John a soft smile.

“Well. Reed, you don’t need to concern my sister’s words.” John shrugged to Reed.



Chapter 3

A young guy was so innocent. It was John’s first impression of Reed Richard. It was far out John’s imagination. He though that Sue’s boyfriend could be a masculine one or a bookworm. It was a joy to see Sue’s new boyfriend for his nice looking.

Though born a childish face, Reed turned out to be a serious man in work and had showed his great dedication in his research.

When standing with Reed, John always felt like the elder brother. Indeed, John was stronger and taller than Reed, still no less the sex experience.



Yes, five years. It was five years that John had never seen Reed. John knew that Sue broke up with Reed two years ago and fell in love with Reed’s old classmate and old rival-Victor Doom. Frankly speaking, Sue was disappointed with Reed and Reed could not promise to give Sue happiness and get married with her.

So Reed felt embarrassed to see his former girlfriend standing with his university’s rival. Ben noticed that and told Reed to pay attention to Doc. Doom.

John still thought it was common to see each other in this meeting, but Reed’s unease and Sue’s hesitance made John feel not good.

“Victor?” Sue queried.

“Well, Reed said he needed money to support his research. On the other side, my plan to travel in universe still needs such a person with strong experience and proficient in these inter-areas. Hearing about the explanation Sue assured.

“John.” John turned round and only saw Reed standing in the corner.

“How is your sister?” Reed asked hesitatingly.

“Good.” Preparing to leave this room, John got an idea. “Have you got a girlfriend?” John giggled, waiting for Reed’s embarrassment.

“Hum… Er… No.” Reed turned his eyes to other side.

“Wow! Since you broke out with Sue?”

“Yes.”

“Then you must always DIY since that time?’

Reed’s face blushed and he did not know what to say next. He felt so embarrassed that he wanted to find a hole to hide.

“Cool guy, Ascetic.” John peered into Reed’s face. The childish face was faded, replaced with a more mature face. “Don’t you want to hunt for women with me tonight?”

“No, thanks.” Reed dubiously looked at John.

“Come on, boy. I think you need one, aren’t you?” Reed finally surrendered.



Noisy and crazy crowds were mad in the club. It was a long time since Sue brought him on their graduation celebrity in high school. Since then, Reed had never stepped into pub even a time.

“This is Reed Richard, a hot guy in science research.” A voice pulled Reed out of the thinking. John was trying to introduce girls to him. The girls were hot and eager to invite Reed to dance.

“Come on! Reed, the ladies are waiting for you.” John smirked.

Reed forced a smile and accepted the girls’ invitation.

“John! Reed gets drunk. Help me to pull him away.” A loud voice broke John’s happy time with two hot girls.

“Shit!” Considering that Reed has no friends here, John had to say sorry to the two. He had to bring Reed home.

When putting Reed into his car, John soon found that he did not know Reed’s residence. He had no choice but to drive to his villa.

When opening eyes, Reed found he was staying on a strange king ─side bed. The surrounding looked unfamiliar to him.

“Damn! You wake up.” Reed turned head to where the noise came from, only finding John standing aside the door, wearing with only bath towel.

“John? Where am I?”

“Fuck off. You got drunk and broke my enjoyment.” John was drinking. “This is my home.”

“I am sorry to give you a lot inconvenience.” Reed felt annoyed.

“I’ll leave soon.” Reed stood up and prepared to leave.

“Stand up!” A powerful voice forced Reed to keep still. “Stay with me at home. It’s too late. The shower is in the right corner and go to sleep. We’ll have a meeting tomorrow morning.” Reed was surprised to hear such a considerate suggestion came from John, a fop who always did crazy things in public and changed girlfriends one by one.

Appreciating what John did for him, Reed decided not to bring him any trouble and stepped into bathroom directly.

Maybe it was John’s simple way of contacting with people and probably John did not intend to show any special feeling to Reed, The sixth sense told Reed that John may have an unusual feeling to him.

“John?” Reed peaked.

“Hum?” John was taking his T-shirt off, with his body bare to Reed. His tight body with pretty muscles curve got Reed’s attention.

“Hey. Is that good-looking?”

Reed found he had staring at John’s body for seconds, he soon felt embarrassed at once.

“Reed?”

“Oh. I’m sorry.” Reed forgot what John asked him just now.

“Come on, guy. Let me teach you another relaxed way. You will feel enjoyable.” John noticed what Reed was thinking about, so he wanted to take a try and see Reed’s reaction.

“Relaxation? Should we go out for another party?’ Reed was confused.

John laughed. “Of course not. Here.”

“That’s boring. I am not a boy. I am a man. It’s not fun to play at home.”

“Are you sure? Do you know what game is?” John could not help to do this thing with Reed, but he found that Reed may have a wrong understanding of this.

“A man? That’s so funny. You are joking.” John found that Reed had a sweet side attracting him. His genuine and pure characteristic with baby-look face always haunt in John’s mind.



Maybe Reed looked more feminine. It was John’s first sense of Reed. He though it was due to the feminine and baby-look face that cause John’s thinking of illusive Reed rather than Reed himself, but it was that night when John came to know that he had the desire to touch Reed, Sue’s boyfriend. The sleeping Reed looked so unawareness and looked like an angel. John always focused on reed’s face till he felt asleep at that night. To John’s surprise, he touched Reed’s lip with instinct and made a slight touching on Reed’s face.

Thinking about it was just a curiosity of bearing such a face of the same sex staying for just one night, John soon forgot this matter. However the meeting five years later soon made John realized that Reed still gave him a nice impression and John wanted to know more about Reed.



“Reed, come on!” John shook hands to seated Reed.

Reed nodded, moving toward him and taking a seat besides him.

“Reed, look at me.”

Reed felt uneasy, because he did not know John’s intension, but he did it.

“Well, good. Tell me, do you often DIY?”

“DIY?” Confused with John’s serious looking and serious words, but soon Reed realized what John’s talking about. He got flushed.

Reed stumbled. Afraid of John’s teasing, he made a lie. “Yes.”

“Really?” John frowned, he soon touched Reed’s face without hint. He doubted whether Reed was skillful on that thing or not.

Seeing what John was doing, he sat aside. He was shocked by John’s behavior.

“John? What are you doing?”

“Nothing.” John pretended saying calmly, but his hands’ soon clutched Reed’s left hand.

“John!” Reed’s tone heightened and he stood up. Looking at Reed’s scared face, John laughed.

“What’s that fun? Is this just a trick? To make fun of me? The relaxation way?” Reed got a bit annoyed but had no dare to shout at John.

“Oh no, sure yes. It was just a part of relaxtion.” John said in a unreasonable way.

Reed sighed and sat down again.

“Reed…” John’s body was moving toward Reed.

Reed stood up again for fear of John. John stood up at once, which made Reed frightened. He did not know what John will do next step.

“Reed…”

Reed feared and moved back.

Seeing that Reed was fear of him, John got angry. He soon grabbed Reed’s hands.

“You made me annoyed. “ John coldly said.

You really did annoy me, John. Reed said to himself and sighed, looking at John with innocent eyes.

Seeing Reed’s eyes, John excited and trembled. He quickly made a kiss. Feeling what John’s doing a crazy thing. Reed pushed him back, but fruitless. John was too strong to him. Reed wanted to pull him off so he moved back again, trying to turn his head aside. For a while, Reed felt he was lost in John’s attacking way. His back was touching the wall, which made him have to receive John’s thirst kiss.



The horrible night was over. It failed in John’s expectation; Reed feared of him and said nothing in the morning.

Sue thought it was their problems and did not respond John’s weird questions.

John could not believe that the man in front of him still could not forget his sister-Sue; the fact already made him angry and he already had done harmful thing to Reed.

“You were in a hasty.” Silver Surfer said.

“I don’t know how to face Reed again…” John sighed.

“You’d better not bother him again.”

“What?”

“Leave him. Don’t try let him see you again.”

“Damn!”

“You wanna him to get more hurt?” Silver Surfer seriously looked at John.

“OK.”



Soon Johnny never appeared again.

Life became normal again.
